Purpose of Certificate
The certificate will allow graduates to receive extended opportunities to engage with children dealing with traumatic experiences. Trauma continues to be a leading factor impacting student behavior and academic performance. Many students in urban and rural school districts are experiencing trauma at a higher rate than before. Earning the certificate will increase the opportunity for students to be employed within high-trauma schools.
