The School of Aquaculture & Aquatic Science within the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources prepares students to address the rapidly growing global demand for aquatic resource management. Through a combination of hands-on learning, virtual course offerings, scientific research, and career-focused training, students gain the knowledge and skills needed for opportunities in aquaculture, fisheries, aquatic environmental assessment and management, conservation, research, water treatment, and related fields.

The School offers multiple academic pathways for students interested in aquatic science:

• Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Science – A comprehensive undergraduate degree that provides a strong foundation in aquatic biology, ecology, water quality, marine biology, aquaculture systems, fisheries science, and resource management, preparing graduates for professional careers or advanced study. 
• Minor in Aquaculture & Aquatic Science – An interdisciplinary approach that complements a wide range of majors by providing specialized knowledge in aquaculture practices, aquatic ecosystems, and sustainable management of aquatic resources. 
• Certificate in Aquaculture & Aquatic Science – A focused credential designed for students and professionals seeking practical skills and foundational knowledge.
