General Education Requirements
The Interdisciplinary Studies Degree at Kentucky State University provides the option of pursuing an Associate or Bachelor Degree. Interdisciplinary Studies enhances students’ global awareness and critical thinking skills and fosters solutions to numerous global issues. Aligned with the University’s Mission, the goal of the degree is to "Provide transformational educational experiences to prepare graduates for making meaningful contributions to society..." The BA Interdisciplinary studies degree provides excellent preparation for graduate or professional school.
Academic Requirements:
- Grade-point average of at least 2.0 overall.
- 30-31 credit hours of general education core are included in the total 120 credits. Students must earn a "C" or higher in ENG 101 and ENG 102.
- 42 semester-credit hours of concentration. Courses must be in the upper level 300-400 and student must earn a "C" or higher.
- A minimum of 120 total credit hours are required. Certificates and minors are encourages to fit scholar career or professional development interests.
