Associate of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
Our Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies is designed to provide a well-rounded education that prepares students for a variety of career opportunities or further academic pursuits. The AA degree offers a broad curriculum that includes humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics, ensuring that you gain a diverse set of skills and knowledge. Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies

This Liberal Studies Degree redefines the Liberal Arts for the 21st Century, and students at Kentucky State University have the option of pursuing an Associate or Bachelor Degree. Liberal Studies enhances students’ global awareness and critical thinking skills and fosters solutions to numerous global issues. Aligned with the University’s liberal studies mission, the goal of the Liberal Studies degree is to prepare global citizens by cultivating an understanding and appreciation for human cultural, historical, and social experiences via a plethora of innovative courses. The BA liberal studies degree provides excellent preparation for graduate or professional school.
Academic Requirements:
- Grade-point average of at least 2.0 overall.
- 30-31 credit hours of general education core are included in the total 60 credits. Students must earn a "C" or higher in ENG 101 and ENG 102.
- 30 semester-credit hours of concentration. Courses must be in the upper level 300-400 and student must earn a "C" or higher.
- A minimum of 60 total credit hours are required. Certificates and minors are encourages to fit scholar career or professional development interests.
