This course discusses the causes of weather, the interactions between the atmosphere and the sun and the oceans. It also discusses weather instruments. Satellite and radar weather maps will be analyzed. Also discussed will be climate and climate change. This is a lecture/laboratory class.
This course is an inquiry-based introduction to astronomy including an understanding of the physical laws governing the Universe. Topics include optical instruments, laws governing astronomy, a detailed assessment of the solar system including current understanding of the formation and evolution of the solar system.
