College of Business, Engineering, and Technology
Due to the tremendous growth in the business, engineering, and technology sectors, the demand for graduates with marketable skills has increased exponentially. The goal of our college faculty is to equip graduates with advanced entrepreneurial concepts in business, industrial framework skills in engineering, and technical expertise in mathematics and computing to meet these expanding market needs. To achieve this goal, we offer undergraduate degree majors, minors, certificates, dual-credit options, as well as master's degree programs in business, computer science, engineering and engineering technology.
The college comprises three schools: the School of Business, the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, and the School of Engineering & Technology. Each school offers various degree programs to prepare students for successful careers in their respective fields.
School of Business
Business Administration offers the following options as Bachelor of Arts majors:
The Accounting Area of Specialization at the School of Business provides graduates with a general exposure to the primary areas of accounting, and prepares them to begin careers in professional accounting.
The Management Area of Specialization at the School of Business accommodates students whose interests include preparation for entry into corporate management training positions, the application of behavioral science to management, the human resources function in both line and staff capacities, and managing a small business. We help students define their career mission and prepare for that mission through coursework, mentoring, internships, and networking.
The Marketing Accounting Area of Specialization at the School of Business provides a specialization of study for graduates seeking careers in marketing research, advertising, retailing, or sales management.

School of Engineering and Technology
Engineering and Technology offers the following options as Bachelor of Science majors:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technology program at Kentucky State University is intended to prepare individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to the identification and resolution of production problems in the manufacture of products. The program includes instruction in machine operations, production line operations, engineering analysis, systems analysis, instrumentation, physical controls, automation, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), manufacturing planning, quality control, and informational infrastructure. This program can offer graduating students an opportunity to build a rewarding career in additive manufacturing that is more focused than other broad-based models in order to meet the need of semi-conductor/chip manufacturing industry due to increasing demand for smart devices and smart automobiles.
Students in Biological and Agricultural Engineering Program at Kentucky State University will learn to apply fundamental knowledge of biological and physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering principles to formulate and solve engineering problems. Engineering design is integrated throughout the curriculum, along with opportunities to develop communication, learning, and teamwork skills, culminating in a capstone design experience. In addition, student would require to gain summer internship experience starting from sophomore year until graduation. In order to be successful biological and agricultural engineers, students need to acquire a set of skills, knowledge, and behaviors as they progress through the curriculum.

The Game Development Option offers graduates a solid foundation in the theory of game design and development, as well as a firm understanding of traditional computer science. The software engineering principles used in game development are equally applicable to any software development process, providing graduates a well-rounded understanding of the computer science field in general.
The Information Systems Option focuses on managing and using information systems in a business environment. Information systems not only house vast quantities of data, both business- and customer-generated, but can also provide insight into business operations and customer interactions. The CIS Option offers graduates an understanding of the interrelation between systems, data, and meaningful, actionable information.
The Mathematics Option focuses on the mathematical underpinnings of computer science. Progressing through statistics and calculus, the Math Option provides a solid foundation of high-level mathematics, advanced problem solving skills, and deep exposure to the natural sciences.
As the number, complexity, and scope of information systems grows, so too does the need for securing those systems. The Computer Information Security Option focuses on the safe, secure handling of data, as well as securing and managing information systems, data networks, and communications.
Students graduating from the network engineering option in computer science will be capable of managing people, resources, and processes to implement complex Internet Protocol (IP) networks (e.g. Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, Land Mobile Radio Networks, and Life Safety Networks) found in various technical and non-technical organizations.
